Instead, we throw every batch into a &amp;ldquo;damp-heat&amp;rdquo; aging cycle.&#xA;Basically, we simulate years of bathroom steam in a few weeks just to make sure the thing doesn&amp;rsquo;t quit on you.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The battle against steam&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Water vapor is sneaky. It finds the tiniest gaps in the housing and just&amp;hellip; crawls in. If the seal around the quartz tube or the electrical terminals isn&amp;rsquo;t perfect, moisture hits the wiring. That leads to rust and corrosion that you can&amp;rsquo;t see until the unit stops working.&#xA;We use aging chambers to push the units to their limit. We&amp;rsquo;re looking for any little leak or electrical glitch that might trip your breaker. Because nobody wants their power to go out mid-shower.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Heat, cold, and the &amp;ldquo;creep&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Infrared lamps get incredibly hot. When that searing heat meets a cold, damp bathroom, it creates a massive thermal shock.&#xA;We watch for something called &amp;ldquo;creep&amp;rdquo;—which is just a fancy way of saying the materials start to warp or deform over time. We check if the reflectors stay shiny or if they get cloudy. If a reflector loses its mirror finish, you lose your heat. You&amp;rsquo;ll be standing there wondering why the room still feels chilly.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Finding the sweet spot&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the tricky part: if we seal the unit &lt;em&gt;too&lt;/em&gt; tightly to keep the water out, we might accidentally trap condensation inside or cause the electronics to overheat.&#xA;It&amp;rsquo;s a balancing act. We spend a lot of time tweaking the airflow so the unit stays cool while remaining a fortress against steam.
